My first diorama is now complete, in the end I decided not to put in a anti tank weapon but to instead have the russian soldiers fleeing from the tank. The two soldiers behind the church try to provide cover for their comrade but they do not realise the tank's turret is pointing right at them, even though their commander shouts to warn them.
Please give me your opinion and I need help for a name

Hi mate,
That's a thick layer of snow, I like that! How did you made it?
You also paid attention to some details, like the bullet holes in the walls of the buildings etc. That's good!
Some ideas though:
1 - the front of the Tiger tanks, around the spare tracks, looks too rusty to me. Crews made sure rust was kept to a minimum, so concentrate your rust on the tracks, but not too much on the hull/turret itself.
2 - try to make some (broken?) glass in the windows. This is very easy, but I don't know how to explain it in English LOL. If there's a Dutch member around who can translate it for me: what are "plastic mapjes voor in een multomap?"
3 - You only have got debris near the building where the Russian soldiers are giving covering fire. The other buildings look heavily damaged to though. Add some more debris near them too.
Well that's about it. Nice dio, good start! Lot better than my first hehe :-)
Cheers,
Martin

Good choice of figure posings and positions.
The snow looks good too.
But I'll echo the other comments of needing MUCH more rubble especially insides the building where the figures are posed.
I'm amazed at the amount of rubble I see in the pictures, now that I know to look for it,.
Is there a sidewalk under the snow up against the two buildings on the right hand side of the first picture? It's a little hard to tell.
Maybe needs some steps leading up to the building enterances as well.
Like others have said, broken glass, and assorted set dressings, lamp posts, post boxes, etc.. would add to the scene as well.
keep up the good work.

i really like the sense of action your diorama protrays. Is there a certain time frame or battle that your diorama depicts? What figures did you use? Good work and keep it up!

Hi mate
I like the set up and the composition i agree with the other posts a little more debri power cables general stuff....etc would all add to the feeling of street fighting and the the destruction when AFV and infentary ..get it on in a built up area.
Loking forward to seeing more.
Cheers Chris

Joe,
One thing you could do without a lot of effort to really dress this up has to do with the windows. Get some balsa wood and frame up the windows. That is, add balsa strips to the inside perimeter on the openings. Then you can add the frames for the window panes to the inside. Then you can add intact and broken panes with some clear acetate.
Good start and thanks for sharing.

Whilst egoing the compliments from the previous posters, some observations of mine:
1 The (German?) figure lying on the ground in front of the Tiger. His leg is pointing in the air, is the figure fallen over, or is he supposed to lay down?
The Italeri Chuch ruin in the front right corner is positioned in an odd way, as the lay out of the building before destruction would place it on top of the building in the middle..and looking at the soldier running that way, there is a road going down there aswel. also the back of the Italeri kit is 'hollow', have you filled that in?
I think the Tiger looks good, the front looks like mud to me which is quite accurate. I like the positioning of your Tiger, If I was a Russian soldier I would not be hanging about there... :-)
You're snow is also good, a well done diorama, with a few things to look out for in your next one.
Cheers
Henk
