HI,
Was up looking at the hobby store yesterday for that something 'different' to try and was looking at their selection of smaller 1/172 scale armor kits.

The owner said that he had had some really positive comments about the new Dragon kits listed under the "Armor Pro' series, so I picked up one of the Jadgpanthers with molded-on Zimmerit to see if this would help cure the 'slump' I've been in since finishing up the Morser Karl. I noticed on the box side that it has seperate tow cables, a small PE sheet with the screens, and a whole big bunch of seperate numbers to choose from on the decal sheet.

So I had some free time yesterday and went ahead and built the little kit, and today I'm busy painting on it.

All in all, I really like this kit. I built a 1/172 scale Panther here last summer and wasn't all that impressed with it, but this one, with all those seperate little 'extras,' is really quite nice! I am impressed. It even has a one-piece drop-in engine/radiator/fan unit that is so detailed that I fine it something of a shame to have to put the rear deck on top and cover most if it up. Am going to leave the engine door open so just a little of it shows underneath.

I plan to go up next week end and pick up the Jadgtiger in this same series to see how it compares to this kit. I'd have to say that for under $10 a person would have to go quite a ways to find a kit as nice at this one is to do a week end build on.

Thanks Dragon for a job well done.

Take care. Sgirty

I wasn't impressed with the Panther G early, but the Jagdpanther early I got is much nicer. I also believe it was cheaper than the original retail price. I've been looking for the E-100 and Jagdtiger, hopefully I will run across them soon.
