Sounds good. Looks like Dragon is going to price themselves right up there with Tamiya. Also looks like you get lots more in the kit by way of details and extras than Tamiya though. Hope they continue the new Abrams trend with the M1A1 AIM they are working on, supposed to come out this summer, and the announced M1A2 SEP. Can't wait for the SEP.

Did not want to rub it in for Cookie but greatmodels.com is listing it for $28.45 in pre-ordering.
But Cookie, you got a better access to all these nice resin sets over there in Europe.
I can't wait to see the new M1A1 AIM's either. I bet all the prices of other M1 models will go down once the new one comes out. Shopping time, baby!

The good news is that Dragon is incorporating new technology into their modern kits, just like their 3:1 WW2 kits.
So I think this means if there are any M1 variants, they'll use these M1 kits as a basis.
Hopefully the higher price translates to "You get what you paid for!" and is not seen as gouging.
And hopefully Dragon will start a trend of "Not being the first to release the AFV model, only the best."

In reguards to the price of the model, the only reasoning I can come up with is that they aren't expecting the model to move that well (ie sell less units) so thats why it has a higher price tag on it? I've seen the DML M1A1 AIM listed in the high 20/low 30's range.
