Hi all,

This is my British Jeep I'm working on for the VE-Day campaign. Windshield, wheels and steering wheel aren't glued yet, the rest is. Time to paint it and add stowage etc.

Looks great so far. I really like the positioning of the driver. Can't wait to see what ya do with it..

Hi mate,

Well I haven't figured that out yet. Maybe it will become a vehicle of the Dutch Princess Irene brigade which liberated a part of their own country. The diorama I'm gonna put this jeep on is gonna be Holland, May 1945 diorama. It will show British/Commonwealth (so maybe Dutch) troops clearing an area of remaining German units. The landscape will be based on the landscape as how it looks near my home.

sounds good.
just one small thing (you are not the first) the jeep is missing the "loocks" from the hood to the fenders.
How are you going to "put" the gear lever, i have a jeep in 1:1 and have seen a lot of models with the jeep in the wrong gear.

Lol I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by the loocks (locks maybe?). Also, what excactly is the fender, and the lever?

I'm gonna build the jeep just OOTB, but maybe I can do something with your comments (once I understand it lol, sorry, don't know everything in English)

Martin the bonnet (hood) as well as the windscreen had tie down clamps on each side to hold the bonnet in the closed position and the windscreen in the down position.

He is talking about the gear lever position inside the cab. I personly do not see anything wrong with a model showing it in any position as this is where I feel the rivet counters are getting a little rediculous.

I really like the driver. Is it a seperate kit or is it part of the Jeep kit? Is it a standard figure or did you alter him?

The Jeep driver is an Ultracast figure. I wrote a review about this figure, you can find if here:

A great figure. If all Ultracast figures are like this (and that is what I understand from a lot of reviews) this sure will not be the only Ultracast fig I will ever buy lol :-)

Sorry for my english.
I was thinking on the tie down clamps from the bonnet(hood) to fenders just like the tie downs for the windscreen.

and the reson for my remarks, it is a small thing to make but makes the jeep better.

your jeep is good and your figure is almost a live.

Looks like a really nice build you have going there, and your choice of figure is brilliant. Really nice figure that. The only thing I can see that would be a huge improvement for a little effort is the seam on the cans at the front. I stand to be corrected here, but I didn't think 'our' cans had that seam? If so it's such a little effort for a far greater result. Looking forward to seeing the paint job on this one!
