There were some post in the past about using Badger extender for airbrushing. Did anyone ever try it with Polly Scale paints? The question was asked April but there is no answer to this question. Has anyone tried since then?

I got a bottle of Liquitex Acrylic Slow Dry about a 2 months ago. I plan to use it with MM's acrylics for the figures I've got to get around to one of these years. I was planning on using it for blending the colors with a brush. I have no plans to use it thru the AB as I have no reason to...yet...hmmm.
Why do you want to extend the paint for an AB project?
If I had some Poly Scale paints I'd experiment for you...

The reason I would like to know about extenders is that I was airbrushing a project this morning and the Polly Scale paint kept building up and drying on the needle of the AB. I had the same experence last week but the weather was alot hotter so I did not expect any problem this morning but alas. I did e-mail Testors (they are the owners apparently of Polly Scale) about the problem so hopefully they will have something to say. What's strange is I never had any problems with spraying Polly S.

What's your AB's air pressure set at?

I've got it set for 20 psi when the air is going.

Eric, do you mean the tip of the needle? If it's at the tip, it's normal for paint to build up there after a time of use. Is the paint that building up affecting the "spray" of the paint? If so, the tip could have a tiny bend.

Yes the paint is building up on the tip of the needle. I am using a Pashe VL dual action AB so when it builds up it does affect the amount of paint flow but the pattern seems okay. It will build up to the point that with the needle full open, no paint flow and air bubbles up in the cup. Right now all I can do is clean the needle with a wet Q-tip every couple of minutes.
