1st SS-Pz.Abt 501 "Kampfgruppe Peiper" and probably seen near Stavelot. Your comments are welcome guy's

Hi Eric,
I've been cheated. Got the first two pictures but not the last three .
Looking real good, but I need more. Want to see more of that camo job
By the way, if I've not welcomed you to the board yet, well, let me say welcome

Looks nice, Please correct me if I am wrong, but didnt 1st SS-Pz.Abt 501 use different colors around the turret number to denote company as well? I have seen Blue, and Yellow?

Eric, Nice job on your Tiger II. To answer the question John (Sticky) posted, the colors for the numbers would be correct. The first company of sSS501 used black outlined in white. Unfortunately there was no balkenkreuze on the side of 501's Tiger's at the time of the Ardennes offensive. The heer battalion sPz abt. 506 numbered their Tiger II's in this way, but looking at my refs it appears the first company of the 506 used plain white numbers. So maybe your Tiger was somewhere on the eastern front. Again nice job.
Cheers,
Mike

Great job on the camo and your tracks! (i really love them..)
I think your tank is a little bit bare (kaal) so I suggest to add some stowage or a camouflage net.
Give your spare tracks a stronger wash becouse it's too black now.
It is deffinitly worth a dio!!

Hi mate,
Your tank looks nice, but I have my doubts whether the camouflage is correct or not. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but as far as I know they only used hard-edge camouflage schemes and nog the soft edge you used.
I could be wrong, but this is just something I noticed...
Other than that, good work!

I agree with Martin about the camo and I have to bring up something in another post. You clearly spent a good ammount of money on the model, why didn't you immitate the correct fixtures of the paraphernalia (sorry if I did not spell it right). All your spades, axes and so on look very artficial nad spoil the wonderful fell of the whole model.

Well done camo job. Also, the tracks look awesome as well as the weathering on the front left guard.

Perhaps this works on 043's pictures: making a link directly from the picture in Kitmaker.net gallery:
Did seem to work allright...

Hi Paul,
Thanks for fixing the link. I'd never have figured it out.
Eric,
Again, looking real good. Glad I got to see the other shots.

Hi Eric,
You probably forgot to add the headlight cables. It is attached from the front headlight to that round thing on top of the glacis.
Cheers

Most of 501's Tigers were painted with a hard edge camo pattern, but a few (the famous '222' for one) had a soft edge. Maybe add some Ambush spots for effect.. Most pics of KT's show little or no stowage. Same goes for Panthers and Jagdpanthers. Mk lV's are always piled up with stuff.

Looks good especially the tracks. But i'd rust up the spare tracks a little.

Sorry guys but 043 has got this one pretty much right ...you got the wrong division as the tank belongs to the 506th and not the 501SS but that's another story ..I,m not sure if the 107 had the new tracks but those that did should have zimmerit and the camo is right and should not be a hard edge camo as these tanks were from an earlier batch ...color of the numbers, well I think black on white is good but I'm not going to stick my neck out and say that's it for sure but they were not just white at least not all of them ...So other than the missing zimmerit I think you've done a good job ..congrat...
here's a picture just to back up a few of my statements ..it's not 107 but 109...
