Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I am currently on the market for a new airbrush and was thinking to get an Iwata. Now, there has been a thread on the selection for an Iwata, but nobody mentioned the Iwata Custom Micron. Is this one better than HP-C?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

I have the Iwata Custom Micron B its awsome best airbrush i own for detail work, all though it is exspensive, i also have a HP-SB side mount another very good detail brush and an Eclipse HP-BCS for general work a real work horse, the fit and finish are first rate on all 3 Iwatas.

Thanks RV for your help. I also have another question. Do I need a Crown Cap for the CM-B? On IWATA's website they calim that it comes with the preset handle. Is this true? Do you find the cup to be adequate for painting, or do you wish it was bigger, let's say 3.5 ml? Sorry to ask so many questions. Again, thank you for your help.

Toma, now if you go to the Dixie art web site, that should pretty much explain everything for you, look at the prices,, the microns cost quite a bit more then the other brushes, to buy, plus maintain, so they should be better.

Toma the Custom Micron-B for me is perfect for detail work, it is preset from the factory but everyone paints differntly so i changed mine, the color cup is not large but you won't need it any bigger because the Micron is for detail work only, most often i end up throwing half the paint out i put in the color cup because i don't use it all, it is one of the most expensive airbrushes out, its easy to maintain you just have to keep it very clean all the time never let the paint dry overnight in the airbrush, parts for it are very expensive to replace.

Finally! I made up my mind this morning! I have called Currys here in Toronto and the gentleman on the phone was very knowledgeable about IWATA products. After a 15 minute conversation with him I have decided to get a Custom Micron C with an IWATA Smart Jet compressor. I will pick them up tomorrow. I just can't wait. Happy, happy! :-)
