I am in the middle of building Dragon's IS-2M kit. I raised the height the appropriate amount and everything was smooth sailing until I got to the tracks.....I tried Dragon's, but I can't seem to get them to "cooperate". In the past, I have always assembled the tracks, glued them together (leaving one joint unglued), removing them from the wheels, painting them, replacing on the wheels, and then final gluing. The teeth on the Dragon tracks will not allow me to put them on any other way except threading them. They need to be glued because even though they snap together, they will come apart. I glued the wheels/sprocket on first, but managed to break the sprocket loose to allow the track to, at least, thread. I am at wits end. Any ideas, suggestions, etc. Cursing at it "pa Engliski e pa Russki" didn't help. Has any one tried Fruil tracks on this kit? Would that help? Bal'shoe Spasiba! (in advance) for any help......Bill G

My experiance has made me leave all the outer roadwheels and ilders off,The inner ones are attached as usual. Then the track can be formed around them..After painting the track,I can slide it right into position, and add the outer set of roadwheelas, idlers and what not. (++) (++)

Thanks for the hint Tankcarl.....I was able to gently pry off the topmost part of the idlers whick allowed me to put the tracks on with the right amount of sag. I'll know better now when I build the ISU-152. It actually turned out pretty good......Bill G
