Here's 2 more pics of the Cromwell ARV It's the Accurate Armour conversion for the Tamiya Cromwell I would love any opinions on the color of the wood planks I mixed in some MM acrylic leather in with the MM acrylic wood color Yes it is glossy I haven't put on the flat coat yet

Lord Zod,
i knee knee.Is there texture of grain on the wood planks? They would look good with a subtle wash. Also, there is some unpainted or in need of muddying up inbetween the roadwheels in the last picture.
A very nice build.

looking good Chad, I agree with Carl on the wood I think a subtle black or Burnt amber wash will be just what the wood needs.

Hi mate,

Looks good. Check the tracks though. The left one is crooked and both are floating above the wheels while they should rest on the wheels. Either glue them with superglue or get Modelkastens Cromwell tracks (expensive but they're very very nice)

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Chad it seems to be coming along nicely ..I too think you need to drill out the MG barrel ..try using a #11 exacto blade ,just pick it in the center and twist it works great ... For your wood planks if you want to try something different ..What I do is start with a sandy wood color ..I then take pure oil paint straight from the tube (either raw umber or burnt umber) and cover the piece completely with this paint ...I wait about 15 minutes and then take a flat brush and wipe it off going with the grain of the wood ...wipe your brush often and remove as much as you want ...I use this technique on my tools and wooden boxes ..try it on a scrap piece of plastic first but you'll love the effects you can create. That wash came out kinda strange looking ...I'm an oil wash kinda guy myself..lol
Keep up the good work ...

Thanks for the idea Rick I got turned on to using water colors for the washes a few years back If you mess up on them you can wipe it off with a damp towel
