Hi guy’s,
I want to build a house but I need some line drawings and measurements (1/35).
I’m looking for a French house (like the ones you find in towns)
Can someone help me ?
TIA

If you want to scratch a house, its completely up to you on how big it will be.

Jan, the best possible way to do this, is not to use scale plans but rather to follow the scale according to a1/35th figure. For ideas, follow this link...

My technique is this:
1. Research galleries and historical sites and find a house I like.
2. From that I do some rough scetching to get an idea of how it will work in my diorama. I may tweak it a bit based on my particular needs. I make it roughly to scale based on previous projects and rough sizing with a figure in my hand.
3. I break out the scale converter calculator I take some rough measurements from the original picture. From these I try to convert everything to 1/35th. I take something that I know such as the width of a door or the heigth of a door. And base everything else in scale off of those. If the door is twice as wide as the window then I translate that to my drawings in 1/35th
4. I take the rough scetches and make solid scale drawings base on step 3.
5. I then translate the drawing to a plaster blank or foam board or start to build a stick and frame house from there.
Using this method you can create line drawings of any building - even mix and match buildings.
