There is a website: www.hobbyterra.com. They sell several ICM 1:35 figure sets, including Soviet Motor Rifle troops and some type of Special Forces troops of the Afghanistan era. I have found ICM figures to be a little crude, but a good modeler can still get good results out of them. Also, they are very inexpensive. I urge you to try this site, they are reputable and when I ordered from them they were prompt with delivery. Good luck.

I'll vouch for HobbyTerra, but would urge you to check out Alanger first (www.alanger.us). They typically run sales on the old ICM figs, including Afghan ones. They've separated me from quite a bit of my money, and service has always been polite and fast.

DML did a series of Modern Russian figures as well. I believe one of the sets were of ADV (?) Spetznats that served in Afganistan. You may want to look for them.

hello,
I can recommend http://www.aviapress.com , the stock a lot of
Eastern European 1/35 kits, shipping sometimes takes a while but a really good service..better than some UK companies I've dealt with .
Glad to learn hobbyterra are good guys, I've got my eye on the Skif MTLB ZSU23/2, not out in UK yet..
The Dragon VDV/Spetznaz figure sets, No's 3002/3003, will fit the bill for the Afghanistan era and check out https://afgan.ru/index_e.html , good site with lots of Soviet veterans photos.
cheers
