A few weeks ago, during a discussion on the MMIR (Ampersand) Sherman book, one of the participants mentioned that the green light had been given for a new edition. This has now been confirmed at the AMPS Show, where MMIR had a poster announcing that the book will be coming out in the fall....JIm

Hi,

Actually, I am the person who paid in excess of $100US for the Sherman book. I was very happy to report that a new edition is coming out. I will gladly buy the new edition when it is published. And,no, I am not sick about it. As I indicated at the time,I wanted it and had lost several auctions and wasn't inclined to lose another.

Well, the poster at AMPS said FALL 2005...We can only hope...I,for one, am happy to see it announced and will happily buy a copy.

I wonder if we can convince them to do a book on Soviet WWII tanks and SP guns...and maybe a book on Panthers, one on German halftracks and armored cars and US halftracks and maybe a book on US SP guns and tank destroyers and then, when they do all of those, they can ...oh,right,that is about all of the interesting subjects.

On the same board someoone reported that the "Modelling the Jagdpanzer" book is there (he saw it), though I only saw it on the squadron site... others do not have it or do not give a price. They are, apparently, also working on a book for open topped German TD's.

Hey John I beieved you, I was just surprised to hearit announced so quickly - that's all. As far as the Stug book is concerned I have 251s and Tigers to work through ...Stugs will no doubt capture my attention 6 months down the line...

Next time you speak to them, tell them a KV book would be a godsend....Jim
