heres the cromwell im working on at the moment
the excellent tamiya kit of course, with accurate armours PE set
built to represent a vehicle early in the normandy campaign-hence the mixture of production features
the stowage on the engine deck will be covered with a tarpulin later, but im toying with the idea of the 'liberated' bicycle
i apologise for the flash effect in some of them, having to borrow a crappy camera!
regards
joe

Hi Joe ..nice build so far ..the only thing I'd watch out for on your build is by adding that exhaust cowling it make the vehicle too late for the Normandy campaign.. Just watch your decal choice ..Good job sir.

Actually, I believe the exhaust cover was known as 'Normandy cowling.' Forgive me if I'm wrong, however, I am by no means an expert.
I have recently finished this kit as well, and found everything went together perfectly. I'm sure you will enjoy it, looking forward to seeing more.

Yep that is what they call them but I think it was from experiences in Normandy that they added the cowling ..

Ahh, I see. Then it makes perfect sense for my winter Cromwell to have the cowling, thats good. I've tried to look this up but got no where.

Looking good on your Cromwell so far. I like how you mixed up the roadwheels.
Your choice of primer color is interesting. Did the British use something similar to the German Red-Oxide Primer color ?
Keep us posted as you proceed.
Cheers !!

Looks good Joe,
Built one of these afew years back, I agree it went together without a hitch. Do you plan on giving it a whitewash?
Regards,
Robert
