It's official. As of about 6:00pm today Armorama.com now has more Web server space. As many of you know we had used up most of our 500mb and were teetering on the brink. Now we have up to 1GB of space to expand the site and become even bigger!
A few side-notes. I will also be upgrading the software that runs the Gallery tonight so their may be some odd things going on there until I get a chance to restore some of the look and feel of the Gallery. Also, the 6000+ photos we have in the Gallery are A LOT. And I am not anxious to increase this number to 7000, 8000, 10,000, etc. until the developers of this software come out with version 2.0. This new version will use a MySQL database that will be much more efficient and hopefully all the slow-down issues will go away.
Thanks,
Jim

Is that why I couldn't get the site to load for about 20 minutes?
Heck, a little down time is worth the wait for a better site! Congrats Jim!!!
I don't really understand all the jargon like "MySQL" in the last half of you post, but it sounds pretty cool!
Again, congrats on the upgrade, and a big hearty "THANKS" for this wonderful site!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

That's great news Jim. I too noticed the inability to check the "Latest Posts" a little while ago.

Just a note Jim I'm getting some sort of diagnostic page for php when I try to get in the gallery. Will we individually need to load the software? just thought I'd let you know.

Ahem.
Yes the Gallery is down until I can get some assistance from the fine folks who wrote this software. Their upgrade script is not functioning as planned. Not to fear though I have a full backup of the Gallery in case of a "worst-case" scenario.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim,
Whatever you're doing can't go wrong as far as I'm concerned. My wife is watching TV and I'm working on the M35 with a glass of nice Spanish wine and Miles Davis in the background. Junior's to bed and the weather today was sO nice the cat even prefered to stay outside. I'm sure Armorama will be purring like a cat too when you've got this fixed.
Nice job !
