Hi there
Firstly -apologies... I've asked this question in my AFV Club Sd.Kfz.251 post - probably not the best place to ensure the widest audience.
Basically, as an Armour beginner, what were the "standard" late German camouflage armour colours?
The instructions call for "Olive Green, Red Brown and Dark Yellow". I'm using the new Xtracryix armour paints... Olivegrün seems easy, but I've got 3 x "Dark Yellow" colours:
RAL 7027 Afrika Korps Sand Grey
RAL 8000 Grünbrown (it's almost like Dark earth)
RAL 8020 Afrika Korps Tan Yellow
and 2 x browns:
RAL 8002 SignalBraun
RAL 8017 Schokoladebraun
What should I use for a "standard" European paint job?
All the best
Rowan

Hey Merlin!
I was pretty successful with that Fokker Dr 1 I inquired about a couple of weeks ago. Tough time with the decals but I managed. I've got a ? for you but I'll take it to the aircraft section.
Anyway, about your post, I've found this helpful:

As I understand it, color schemes weren't all that exact which offers us some "artistic license", I think. Hope you can wait for some of my "Armor mentors" to chime in and try that address while you wait.

Cheers Ryne
Many thanks for the link - that's a major help for an armour newbie like me!
Did you catch my Dr.1 in-box review ? I've made a start on the kit and it seems really exciting!
All the best
