Definatly likin the base dude. The snow is fantastic and the mud makes it really stand out. If your figs and tank turn out good, this will be an excellent dio. Good luck with the rest!

Thanks Harrison,
Hopefully The Tank and figures will turn out fine, I am taking extra time with the figs due to them being some of my first German ones.

I like the base a good job so far the mud is great! The mud really looks and feels rough by the thaw and freezes. The only comment I would make is the grass I see looks too uniform in heighth, I would go back and give it a little of a chop job to give it some varience. Just another thought, but not nessecary, you might think of adding some more grass that has been bent over and beaten to the ground by the snow and ice. Maybe a couple of small shrubs? When I go bird hunting in the winter, the stuff becomes a tangled mess that is hard to walk through. Just a thought, great job so far Andrew I like it.

Looking great and really coming together. I haven't used the Future floor polish myself, but have read that it works well to give that wet, muddy effect. Keep us posted,

Hi guys,
Paul, Thanks for the comments, the mud is real dirt I seived out of the garden then nuked in the microwave for 30 seconds.
I will cut the grass into differing heights. I am not to sure what to use for shrubs any suggestions?
Hi Mike, Thanks for the comments I will give the future ago once the mud has dried out a bit.

Do you have a place to buy dried flowers? I would suggest looking there for stuff to make yuor shrubs from. You should be able to find some graet stuff there that would work well. If you want a product name I will call my local hobby store in the morning.

Thanks for the comments Alpen
Ian, I think I will have to keep building Shermans to keep up my sanity. lol Yep I am still playing waterpolo. We qualified for the National schoolboys champs a first time for my school and we came 14th.
Paul, thanks for the offer but I will check out a couple of shops first and if that dosen't work I will grab a few names of you later.

Hi Andy, I love the base. The king tiger too :-) I am glad to see I seduced you over to the dark side!!!hahahahaha Any way, I like Pauls ideas to add some more dead plants poking thru the snow. Although I have never used future for making things appear wet or muddy(except for use as water) I personally think I would stay away from it. For example, future is nice and shiny but when was the last time you saw shiny mud? Dirt just darkens as it becomes mud. I think you would be better served to just darken the earth where the mud is at. the same goes for wet clothes they dont take on shine as they get wet. If you have any questions catch me in messenger Cheers Kevin
