I see a single error~ the Sherman ran on Gasoline and the German AFVs ran on diesel. Incredible groundwork and figures. All the Vehicles look great except for the gas.

Hi everyone. Again thanks for the comments.
Angela, the snow is on the packs and helmets now. As for some scattered k ration boxes or something I will see what I can do.
CK, Sorry but cant change the position she is stuck down solid.
Roger, Sorry you have your facts wrong. German afv's and Sherman's for the most part ran on gasoline. You can check almost any ww2 afv site and they will all tell you the same thing. Maybe you have Germans and Russians confused since there tanks ran on diesel. This fact was answered in a previous post. Here is the link.

It is dealt with on page 2 and 3 here. Again thanks for the comments guys. Cheers Kevin

Hey Kev looks great!
Was a touch worried re the 3 vehicles on what seemed a moderate sized base initially. In fact, your first photos showing the completed base looked too good to spoil by putting clunky things on it!
Think the tight proximatey of the AFVs is offset by the intermingling of figures throughout though, further accentuated by the history of the conflict represented...
WHEW!
Also, as good as the AFVs are, think that your figure painting/positioning is bloody beaut!

Well Mr Gardener ! U have a nice garden there !!!! :-)

Ur dio once again proves to be a sample work for other Kev. All elements putted in right place and right amount. And most of all snow. It s there, doesnt covers or ruins anything , and its so nice. The feeling of cold is evident and the wscenery surrounds perfectly the armor and the human factor. Groundwork and pines are looking super as always and the vehicles look good and physsical. U r figures get better every dio , and the overall feeling is that we have another winner here !!!! Good work Brother. Keep it coming

Kevin,
This is exactly what I expected from you!!!!!!! Well done my friend, I'm glad I hounded you about the snow! It turned out absolutly AWESOME! That is the best "snow job" I've seen in a long time. I will also commend you on the snow camo on the troops, I think you made the right choice of color for the shadows. Can't wait to see this one in person. Oh, by the way Carentan has reappeared on my diningroom table! Can't wait 'til the National in KC!

Really looks fantastic. I just can't stop looking at it.
And each time I do I see another thing I really dig about it. I think the thing I like about it most is that it seems so multi-dimensional. I like the fact that there is a flow from 3 sides, culminating sort of at the T-junction... sort of like a whirlpool effect... if that makes sense...

Can't wait to see the next project...

Excellent work! Good concise, consistent story, everything contributes tot the whole, not an easy task when there are a lot of figures in a dio. Well laid out, too. The snow looks great. I'd be leeary of adding snow to the figures unless you want to depict it actually snowing.
Couple things. In the eighth picture, to top rifle band appears to be the same color as the rifle stock.
The othe thing, and this may be moot. Is there any interior to these vehicles? Looking don into the Sherman, there appears not. If you plan on showing this, that could be a problem if the next guy has interior details visible and you don't. Same thing with the Hetzer. An open hatch is an invitatio nto a judge to look inside and the expectation is there wil be something to see.

Hi again. I want to thank everyone for posting here.
Paul I am glad to see it back upstairs being worked on. Looking forward to seeing updates again
Rudi, happy you like it. I look forward to seeing your next work.
AJ, glad you like it. the rifle ring has been fixed straight away when I studied the pic. As for the open hatches, I was planning on setting maybe a box sorta covering the hetzer hatch and also will try to scratch the interior a bit on the sherman. You make a good point thanks for bringing it up. For any one intereested here is a "fixed" photo of the resting group. Thanks for reading this and remember all comment welcome.

Once again you have created a true work of art. Everything comes together so amazingly. Even the snow, which i really didn't want, turned out to add so much to the overall feel of the scene, and really tie it all together.
I have to tell those of you who are not able to see this first hand, the pictures in no way do this justice. As good as you think it is judging by the pics, the finished product is 10 times better.
I can't wait to see the article on this one..Great Job Huney...Mwah..
