Has any one ever use this paint Vallejo Acrylics because I read about them on a basic modeling osprey book and they used them for washes and dry-brushing and mybe airbrushed but not sure about the airbrush though.
What difference is there with Vallejo Acrylics and oil paints, how do you thin these Vallejo Acrylics.I think it's the pigment type.

Hi Tom,
I have used Vallejo acrylics to paint figures and small details on vehicles, for spraying through an airbrush there is a different type of Vallejo called Vallejo Air. It is thinner than the regular Vallejo and probably has a flow aid added.
The difference between Vallejo and oils is Vallejo is an acrylic (water based) and oil is an oil based paint. The two are not compatible.
I thin Vallejo with water when I am painting and with the Vallejo air I add a little windex to thin it out some more. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Robert

Vallejo is my paint of choice. There are two lines that I use, Model Color, and Model Air. It is best to thin them with either distilled water, or even better there own thinner. Their thinner is superior as it keeps the pigements in suspention better. Model Air is for the Air brush, but can be used with a brush, and Model Color is for the brush, but can be thinned for the airbrush.
