According to the Tamiya website, the T-55 will be one of the products presented at the 42nd Tokyo Hobby Show...Oct 17...so actual photos of a built kit are not to far off...
the blurb from the Tamiya page says:
When the production of the T-55 began in 1958, a fierce armor development competition ensued between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. Tamiya is proud to present this revolutionary tank as the next addition to the Military Miniature Series. The low clearance chassis has been replicated down to the finest detail, even the cast iron surface of the tank has been faithfully recreated. The characteristic half-sphere turret and powerful 100mm cannon are faithfully portrayed. Not a detail has been spared, even with finer parts such as the engine grill and cast iron wheels.
I'm gonna pick one up (:-)
cheers

Guys--go to Hobby Link Japan and pre-order one now. You'll have it in your hot little hands months before any model store gets it.. And, for a heck of a lot less money.

Amigo--that is a wise move! If the dock strike on the West Coast ever ends, maybe we'll see them.

Ain't that the truth. I talked to my hobby shop owner today. The distributors are worried about this strike. the longer it goes the harder it will be for the rail road industry to catch up when its over. Some stuff may be delayed 2 to 3 months!

Tiger--you know darn well that they will settle probably after getting an additional .25 cents more an hour. Strikes are thing you never recover from....bad news for everyone.
