Here are the completed OC HMMWVs from NTC that I built on consignment. Order was changed from 5 to 4. Here they are.

They are converted Italeri HMMWVs with lots of scratchbuilt detail. You can see more in-progress and completed pics
here.

Nice build Gino. Any weathering in store for them or are they going to their new owners as is? Thanks for sharing. "Q"

Nice work, I remember the OC's in Hohenfels throwing cs at my tank and trying to seal my protective mask only to realize that I had sat on it and cracked the clear face shield, it was the old m25 stlye, that's why they tell you not to sit on them. Thank God for the NBC system in the M1A1.
Regards,
Robert

Glad you like them.

They have been lightly weathered since the pics, just a light dusting. Should be going on bases and will presented as farewell gifts soon.

Wow, Gino, when you said they were all the same, I didn't think you meant literally! You did a nice job. You know better than anyone here what those OCs look like, so my critizism means nothing. You did a great job scratchbuilding. I also see you added the Tire Pressure and "registration" decals.

Jeff, once I looked them, I decided they would look better with the tire pressure stencils, you were right. I had planned to put the data plates on, but forgot before I took the previous pics.

Looking good...

But, a question...

The OC's vehicles at NTC don't use the flags on the antennas or the black "OC" placards on the grille?

Flags are on the antennas, orange live-fire flag on driver's side, team flag on passenger side. We don't use an OC plackard on the front or anywhere else on the HMMWV.

Hey Gino:

As I said before, I like those antennas. I noticed the water jugs too. Did you make those or did you get those somewhere or modify them ...?

YOu mention that you slightly dusted them for weather effects. Did you place any pin wash to bring out the shadow details? Maybe you did that already but I can not tell in the photos. That would help bring out the three dimensional look a bit more to the miniature. But very nice nonetheless.

So, you have an extra one sitting around now? It would look good next to my future "knocked out" M1A2 and a figure holding a god gun talking to a pissed off TC.

Bob, No pin wash, just some light dry-brushing. Water jugs are molded and copied from the Academy M113 kits. Don't have an extra one. I never built the 5th. I do have the pieces parts to put one together though if you are interested, PM or email me.

Just kidding Gino about the kit. I have the new Tamiya ones and hopefully someday I will get to them. By the way, why didn't you go with the Tamiya ones? I heard they are the most accurate.

But one day I do want to do an NTC dio. I actually have an idea in 120mm with older Verlinden figures. It would be set in a pre-ODS date, but I have been waiting for a Humvee to come out in 1/16 scale, but it does not seem to be in the cards. In 1/35 it would be easy enough too I know. But so many other ideas already ...

The Italeri aren't that bad. Italeri's actually have a much better underside and some other details. Mainly it was cost. Italeri's are much cheaper than the Tamiya. Plus I don't need them to be super detailed, since the Tamiya kits are mainly detailed on the interior and roof parts, that I didn't need anyways. Any other missing details, I can add myself.
