here is a parts list and basic diagram of where they all go that is on the badger site...

badger 175 parts

as you can see on the diagram there are 3 parts that have 3 numbers.. these 3 parts are the ones that have to be changed for the needles.

the needle itself #41-006 #41-007 and #41-008
The spray regulator # 41-033 #41-034 #41-035
and the tip #41-003 #41-004 #41005

To change the needle you pull the plastic handle off loosen the chuck counter clockwise untill you can pull the needle out.. be carefull not to dislodge the trigger line up or it can be a bit fiddly to get the needle back in right.

the spray regulator also turns counter clockwise if looking at the tip... easy enough..

part #41-023 Head sits behind the spray regulator it also turns counter clockwise (again looking straight on at the tip.) when it comes off the tip is just sitting in place on the airbrush body on the needle if its still in the airbrush.. just replace with the tip you want and reassemble..

its not too easy to tell the tips and needles apart so I keep them seperate and well marked..

the different needles have different # of grooves at the back end..I think its single groove is fine needle...(thats what i use in my airbrush... 2 grooves is medium and 3 grooves is Large...

the spray regulators are also marked.. with a L for large and a F for fine.. my medium isn't marked at all..

The tips are not marked at all.. which is why I keep the proper tips with their matching spray regulators.. if you get em mixed up you just have to eyeball them with the needle to see which one is which...

hope this helps.. I don't have a scanner.. so maybe someone else can do that for ya.. if not then maybe I can photograph the relevent pages with my digital camera for ya. photo's would probe be fairly large..

To change the size of the spray you have three parts to change - the needle, the inside 'cone' and the outside tip.
The needle is removed by
1. sliding the long black end tube off
2.loosening the thumb turn knob on the brass threaded end
3. slide needle out the back

The outter tip is the foremost piece and mine has a small 1mm thick circle of thumb grips (on the diagram is 41-033 or 34 or 35)
1 remove this with your fingers.

The cone is next
1. remove the piece the tip was screwed onto.
2. gently remove the cone

Reassembly
1. replace the cone with the desired size
2. replace the cone cover and finger tighten
3. replace the outter tip with the matching size tip
4. slide matching needle size in
5. finger tighten the thumb knob at the back.
6. replace the black tube.

You will get good at this because you will dissassemble this every time you use it - it will last a looong time if you do.

Question for you guys I too have this airbrush and part tip #41-003 #41-004 #41005 seems stuck to the brush body. Is this screwed on or just friction fit? I want to remove it for cleaning and I don't want to damage it.

parts 3 4 and 5 are just friction fit. No screwing there.

If they are stuck I would let some terpentine or paint thinner sit on them a bit to try and soften any paint. Then gently use your fingers to nudge it free. You could also try to get a wooden dowelling and tap it out from the rear.
Make sure that you have part 23 removed before you tap from behind.
