Okay, I won a pair of Bandai 1/48 kits off of eBay and I want to get cracking on pair of projects. The kits are a Pnther G and a Jadgpanther, plus a sprue of steel rimmed road wheels from a Jagdtiger. I want to build a Panther II (or Panther F) using the Jagdpanther as a basis and use the gum to make a Pak 43 anti-tank gun (I have drawings by Ken Musgrave). So far so good, however...
There's been much chin wagging the last few years on the Schmalturm that have been showing up in various kits, and I was wondering if some scale drawing have finally been done that most agree are fairly accurate? I'd make my own but I only have a few good photos? Any thoughts?
Thanks!

A few years ago I read in a source which I cannot now remember that the Panther steel wheels were of a smaller diametre than the Tiger's. Just thought you would like to know to help you make your decision.

Hey Henk, curious as to where you bought it?

Bought it from Azimut, at the Modelshow in Telford this week-end. Kit consists of Italeri hull and glacis, Tristar wheels, Academy indylinks, and resin upperdeck, turret, etc from Azimut. Nice kit, but the aluminium barrel which is supposed to be included is missing in mine..I've sent them an e-mail so fingers crossed.
EDIT just received an email from Azimut, they'll pop the barrel in the post this week.
Cheers

Is this all in 1/48 scale? I didn't know Italeri and Tristar were producing in 1/48.
