Nice Dave! Very nice! If the Panther is the cat, I take it the woman is.....? Lol. That's what you really meant isn't it?

Hi Dave:

And I was the guy who "chimed" how I rarely see females in dioramas. I really like what you've done. A simple story. One of the oldest in recorded time, right? I just acquired that lady of the evening fig recently and hope I can do half a good a job as you've done.

As perhaps the seated British gent is saying, and certainly Cat Balou's Kid Shaleen would say,
I'll drink to that!"

Congrats, Nice work,

Thanks for the compliments guys. Actually Vinnie the 'Dingo' is the dog. " Like cat'n'dog" was originally going to be the name of this little scene, but as someone else used "cat and mouse" lately I didn't use it!

I like! Very much! And I've seen the woman somewhere before. Was she the one from Andrea Miniatures 'Lily of the Lamplight'?

Probably, I can't remember what company made her, but she's been repainted twice since I bought her! Accurate Armour's boozer has been recycled too, I love that 'typical soldier - see booze, put it in a safe place' figure.
I've been looking for an oportunity to give her a permanent home.
That piece of tree has been hanging around for a while as well, left over from a christmas decoration!

Vinnie - I know you realised about the dingo. I did think about painting the word 'safe' on the Panther to show that it had been checked for booby traps, but I thought that some would reckon that that applied to the 'lady' as well!

Hi Dave,

Looks great!
Is that the Tamiya Dingo? Did you build it OOB? Did the mounted Bren gun come with the kit? Sorry about the interogation, but I'm thinking of building one soon...

Hi Rudi. Yes, it's the Tamiya Dingo. Mainly OOB, but with changes to the stowage and a tarp substituted for the 'hard-top' in the kit. The decals are from Accurate Armour and represent a recce vehicle of the 6th Guards Tank Brigade. The bren on the AA mount is from the Tamiya universal carrier kit.

A very beautiful diorama! very well built and very well painted! I love the markings on the Dingo and on the figures! This dio is a wonder with a cat in the middle! By the way, What color did you use for the uniforms of the soldiers? And what color for the vehicle? Anyway, congratulations on a very fine dio and.... finally something British!!!
Cheers and happy modellig!

Thanks Prato. The uniforms are Tamiya khaki drybrushed with Forge (a wargames paint line) light khaki and washed with raw umber. The kneeling figure in the pixie suit (Thanks Ex-Royal!) is painted with Tamiya dark yellow and drybrushed with Forge middle sand, also with a dark wash. The Panther is Tamiya field gray with cheap sand acrylic as the cammo and the Dingo is Citadel Catachan Green.

Excellent dio Dave. Figures, vehicles and ground work is all very well executed. I really like the guy with the bottle. He's really really looking forward to that drink.

How about a few pictures from a larger distance?
