Hey buddy,

The panther looks excellent! I like the white wash alot. How did you do the chips in the white wash? This dio is really coming along. You have definatly proven to me that you will stick with this diorama.

Thanks Harrison. I used Oil paints. I jsut covered the whole thing with White oil paint. Then i took a old bottle of Acyrlic Thinner ( Which was empty) and had a nozzle and i filled it up with water and began to squeeze the bottle water out of it ( Long spray ) and then it began to wear off!

Overdone the weathering on the Panther? Now in my view. Just a really nice approach. More power to you, mate. Looking good.

Thanks everyone. Im thinking maybe adding some more white.

Its probably the best way to make a good winter coat!
Martin, it wont even be going in my house. People in the model store want me to leave it in the store! :-)

hey there thats a huge dio! I like it but im concerned about your trees, theyre all equally spaced from eachother, try to make it look more random. Other than that, good luck and keep us posted on this beauty

Hi Max.

All I can say is: That is quite a huge dio!

I like the weathering of your Panther, especially the flaking paint. Your snow/white wash is excellent. The weathering is just right, although the wheels and the tracks are relatively too clean in relation to the weathering on the vehicle's hull. But of course, you're still not finished with it.

Hmmm...I'm a little confused about your bottle techniqe (mostly from language barrier). You applied white oil paint in the model. Then you sprayed water? What exactly did you do to achieve such amazing results?

Beautiful! I like it very much. I can't wait to see the groundwork.

Thanks Angela
Sometimes i have problems with words. But ill give it another go around.

1.) First i take Oil paints and add it into a small cup, Make sure you its thick and add a il drop of water.

2.) Apply the the white oils over the whole model and make sure its not to thin that it runs down the model.

3.) Let the model sit there for 5 mintues or so.

4.) I took Model Masters acrylic thinner ( which was empty )

and filled it with water, i squeezed it so it was kinda like a squart gun. After a while it began to wear off. and thats how i got it!

Max, your dio is looking very promising, I'm looking forward to see it develop.
I think there's one thing about the white wash on your Panther though. As you have done it, all the white wash has worn away from the large, flat surfaces, but the white is still there on the edges. Thing is that it would wear away on the edges first, and on the parts where the crew walk/climb and shrubs brush against. Your method produces some great flaked paint effect, and if you would add some off that on the big panels and add some chipping to the edges, I think it would look even better.

Cheers
Henk

Max,
I think you have a very nice looking Panther there. The weathering is excellent. Love the technique you used as well. I really also like the layout of the dio..how it rises and falls. How big is this dio going to be..Looks pretty huge...Great Job ..Can't wait to see more on this one.
