Nope. Think a little bit bigger and from a different part of Europe.

Wow, this one took some finding as it is the early version and looks quite different to the normal wartime one, but I think it's the Canon leger de 25 antichar SA-L mle 1934.
Or to put it more simply the Hotchkiss 25 mm Anti-tank gun model 34. I'm more familiar with the model 37 that the Brits used in France in 1940.
Go on, tell me I'm wrong after all that![]()
Derek,
It actually is the Canon leger de 25 antichar SA-L mle 1937. There are more pics of it on my website: 25mm ATG
IIRC, the British used the model 1934. I'll have to check one of my books when I get home unless someone can fill us in before then.
I guess its your turn now.

"What British tank was in fact the "inspiration" for the American M-3 Lee/Grant and M-4 Shemans?"

The Valentine?
For the canon AT question, the item shown is a flash eliminator not a muzzle brake. Muzzle brakes are designed to slow the recoil of the gun whereas this one with its conical shape and perforations is to hide the muzzle flash.
Just a bit of useless info for you
Cheers Robbo

It's actually a10.5 cm, or if you mean calibers in the sense of tube length, then it's 50.

Dealer's choice? I guess asking for NSN's out of TM9-2350-311-20-1 would be too easy. Somebody out there is bound to have it.
I'll go for the best two out of three on these:

(still posting photos the lazy way...)

Well, you're close on two. I was hoping the one inch grid underneath the carriage would make that one an easy one.

#2 looks like the precursor to the M2 aiming circle.
