Hi guys i want some advice from you instead of my
German 38 (H) Artillery Observation Vehicle from
Trumpeter (it's their last new model). The discription of Trumpeter shows me a three colour scheme, but i want to airbrush this vehicle in german grey is that possible on this thing??
Seperatly from my question i have to say this kit is just doing well for such low price, the only negative is that the tracks are bull [auto-censored], i orderd a set of tracks from
"friul".
Greetings to all of you and thanx for advice in forward,
ERIC

043,
The reason you probably won't get a response on your paint question is.....this vehicle probably never existed!
Go to the review at http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com and read the review. It's not in any books. You could probably get away with Panzer Gray and noone would be able to challenge you.
BUT...I'm going to buy one also...because I think it looks very cool!

The small resin kit mfg. KORA does an APC very similar to this, but is based on Czechk 38t chassis and running gear.(large road wheels).Maybe you could marry the Trumpeter to a Macquette or Italeri Pz38t to get this edition? I'm going to wait for the new Bronco offerings.

Hi Jeff,
Actually it is mentioned in Motorbuch Verlag Book 12 "Beute-Kraftfahrzeuge und-Panzer der deutschen Wehermacht" by Walter J. Spielberger, and also here
http://pedg.org/panzer/public/website/fren.htm, but none of the reference I have mentions colors. That said, some captured equipment was repainted and some were not, I think mostly dependant on the amount or reconfiguration of the original the need to and the availability of a workshop and paint. Take for example the 38t , most of the pictures I have seen are repainted in German colors, then the T-34 series, some are repainted and some are just remarked with balkenkreuz's and turret numbers. Long story short, I agree repaint it in grey and challenge someone to prove you wrong.
Best Regards,
Robert
