Didn't realize there was a forum for painting...ooops..

I sprayed my King Tiger a Dark Green Model Masters (enamel) base coat. I then went and bought 2 cans of Tamiya Dark Yellow and Red Brown. Basically what I need to know...are the Tamiya sprays lacquer? And if so, can I paint that over enamel? I think I know the answer to this (no) but I want to be sure ...in the mean time I'm going to do a test to see what the effects are...but if anyone answers this before that I would appreciate it...

Yeah, Mike, you should be fine. You will want to wait until your base coat is really well cured, though. Are you doing this all with rattle (spray) cans? I only remember the MM stuff coming in bottles. Even if you bought the MM enamels or even the Arcyls you should still be fine as long as your base coat is cured well.

Yes, rattle can Model Masters and Tamiya...the MM says "enamel" while the Tamiya says...well, nothing! To me that always has meant lacquer given the less than stellar reputation lacquer has environmetally. I painted the Tiger last week some time so hopefully its cured out by now. Though I am still going to do a test sample.

Wow, sorry. I completely missed the Tammy reference and don't really know anything about them. Do a test shot...
