Here are some pictures of a new diorama I have just started, I plan to add a tank crew in a relaxed pose next to the tank.
sorry this picture is blurry

Hi Joe,
Just some nitpicks on the tank.
1) The tow cables look too shiny for my preference (it may just be the photo), maybe you could darken them a bit especially to simulate grime. I use metallic gray for the tow cable and other metallic tools.
2) On the 3rd pic, the barrel joint lines could still be seen.
3) I think the smoke dischargers on the turret are attached a bit low, you might have interchanged the right with the left.
Do you plan to include some snow in your dio? I'm just asking because the tank has a winter camo while the ground look like its for summer?
Cheers

Joe,
Looks like you have a good start. Couple of suggestions:
First, frame up the base. This will add a clear border and set off your work. A lot people use picture frames for the border around dioramas.
Second, the tracks marks look like they are just painted brown. I would press the tank into the turf to add track marks.
Like I said, good start.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Shaun

Looks good so far. Can I ask you how many dioramas this tank will be in? Keep up the good work bro, and keep us posted!

I'll second Keenan on it is a good start. Being the Rivet board and all here's my 2 cents worth of suggestions:
1. Joe you've got a reddish-brownish mud on the tracks if I'm not mistaken but apart from the tracks the surrounding ground doesn't have enough of the same color soil to support that the mud stuck to the tracks did indeed come from here. Just add a bit more similar colored pigments scattered around the groundwork.
2. Grass appears a bit flattened overall. You can get around that by setting the dio in late winter/early spring where the grass has been depressed by the snowfall. If you do that then the grass will be light brown indicating their dried nature due to winter. Alternatively if you want it to be summer you might need to add more "upright" looking grass.
3. It appears you have a fair bit of space (pic #1) at the right and placing a crew may not adequately cover that. A dried tree or two towards the top right would help and it wouldn't block the tank from the viewer.
It appears I might have posted a very long 2 cents worth. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the comments I will take them all in mind. This will be the only diorama this tank is in, the other diorama I have swapped it for a different one. I will probally put a small amount of snow on the base as if it has mostly melted.

Hi Joe,
The tiger looks pretty good. Here are my observations:
1- If you're planning a diorama you will need a base. A picture frame would be a good choice. It is always nice to present your precious work on a beatiful base.
2- The joint line is visible on the barrel.
3- The tow cables look a little bit shiny. Maybe because of the flashed shot. Try to take your pictures in natural light.
4- It would be more realistic to add some mud and grass between the tracks.
Hope the critics are helpful.
Regards
