Does anyone know of any replacement tire that could be used for Tamiya's SAS Land Rover Pink Panther?? Anything other than the kit supplied ones would be great. Resin? Anyone?...help!

could not find tires but this article
http://www.gumnut.net/sapma/reference/mbguide.shtml thought you might like it.
(:-)
If I am not mistaken Verlinden made a set many years ago. Plus I guess who could steal some from another kit is this Italeri or Tamiya or cast some yourself Ken

Must be bad luck, I have one that I built about 20 years ago and the tires are fine. Have you considered using the vinyl ones to cast resin ones yourself?Does anyone know of any replacement tire that could be used for Tamiya's SAS Land Rover Pink Panther?? Anything other than the kit supplied ones would be great. Resin? Anyone?...help!

Rob, just the luck of the draw I guess. Casting resin ones was my first thought but, I have no idea how to do it. Is it difficult? It would be new territory for me.

Ken - Tank Workshop (#088) markets a set of replacement resin tires for the Chevy LRDG Truck.

Check out the latest issue of FSM (November). It has an article on the basics of resin casting.

Also check some of the threads by generalfailure, he wrote a couple on casting and I know there have been others.

You could use the wheels and tires from the Tamiya # 35082 British Land Rover ambulance...Same chassis, same parts, only the tires ' re different !
If you' re lookin' for a set, I could send it to you...Free, of course ! ( Although...A blue Dodge Viper...! )
As usual...Feel free to send me a mail...etc !
' ve a nice day...!
