Hi 210cav,

I build the Marder III all out of box, no PE parts add-on because I wanna just finished it clean and plain. The Tamiya Marder III is perfect fit, believe or not I didn't use glue to join the lower and upper parts together.
Here is the method I use:
1) Glue as many as I could.
2) Primed it with Tamiya Primer.
3) Spray Tamiya Acrylic Nato Black overall as base coat.
4) Cloud pattern was then sprayed on all panels with 50% German Gray(XF63) + 50% Flat White(XF2).

The paint job is very good, I must get myself an airbrush. The only point I would make is on the gun. The gun and all its working parts are painted the same colour, I would suggest painting the top of the recoil guides (where the gun slides back on firing) and the inside of the block where the breech block slides across. These should be a polished silver, even on new guns these parts are not painted.
I hope you will post pictures after you've completed the weathering, I've been playing with the idea of getting one of these and yours has made up my mind.
Have you any idea's for a dio with it yet?

I will do as you suggested during the weathering process. It's worth to invest in the airbrush for modeling.
By the way, the Tamiya Marder III is real easy to build too.

Beautiful Marder, much much better than mine, my only suggestion is maybe you want to do a little bit sag on the tracks. Good one!

Also saw your Luchs, definitely great looking. I thought you are only going to do the patterns, but the camo stripe looked very good too! I especially like the tracks, and weathering of the dusty looked feel.

My only suggestion is that since the picture is not clear, I cannot really tell, say have you drilled the 20mm cannon, seems like not drilled to me.

But all in all, great looking vehicle. I will also try to post some pictures of my just finished Panhard on the web as well...

I've drilled the barrel but not so obvious and the barrel is so fragile that I couldn't drill to deep for it.
