I need some assistance/advice. The Dragon Elefant kit calls for the road wheel rims to be painted flat black. Looking at these things they appear to be more of a steel rimmed wheel (if that is rubber its extremely thin compared to most wheels).
So anyone able to answer if these things are indeed rimmed with rubber or were they steel?
Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
I have never seen a rubber wheeled Elefant, I don't know why they would call for you to paint it flat black, probably just a typo. If indeed there is a rubber wheeled version, which I doubt seriously, Dragon sure picked the rarest of this vehicle to model.
Regards,
Robert

Yeah I was pretty sure it was a typo/mistake I re-read the color legend 3 times to make sure I wasn't reading the wrong line. They certainly look like steel wheels I just didn't have any decent Elefant reference to look at so I decided to ask for help
Thanks guys I am going with steel on these.

Elefant/Ferdinands used steel wheels. The DML instruction is incorrect...you should use metallic gray for the rims and drybrushed with some other lighter metallic color...

Looking at the references I have close on hand (I have a Dragon Elefant project currently on hold while I finish some other half-built projects), I can add my voice to the chorus. The photos make it pretty clear, even if the line-drawings are a little ambiguous.
