Hi All
With less than 3 weeks left in the campaign I thought I'd check on everyones progress.
I know we have pics of finished entries in the Gallery from Generalzod,Bison126, modelguy2, Animal and Davecox.
Personally I'm going to have to ask myself for an extension for 6 weeks because for some reason I've lost enthusiasm for modelling right now, If anyone else needs an extension please let me know.

Pete

My M8 Cargo tractor will be finished for the weekend.
Will send in some finished pictures then.

The load, stowage, base and figure will be added at a later date. If theres an extension, hopefully I´ll have it totally completed by then!

I dunno about that extention., I hear that campaign leader can be a hard-ass!!.

I signed up but then decided not to pursue an engineering Sherman in favor of a combat Sherman. Howeer if there is going to be a 6 week extension I may still give the M32 a go!!

I have had to re-prioritize my work & my T-2 with full interior has fallen behind. I do not see being able to restart serious work until mid-summer.

Sounds like I'm a drop-out, because a 6-week extension will do nothing for me.

Sorry, it was a great idea & something I really wanted to do, but stuff happened ....

My Husky is in progress, but I keep getting sidetracked because thekit is so infuriating. I find excuses to work on other projects.

As like others, the problem is time.. I think I'll have to restart the M88, as starting and finishing the C7P is being to optimistic. . I'll try to finish by the existing deadline. I won't enter in multiple campaigns again, I just don't have the time ( or so tells SWMBO me ).

Thanks Martin. Yes, I'm using the CMK conversion. I like it a lot.
Your M88 is comming along nicely. Mine has been sitting unfinished for a couple of years. Can't wait to see yours done. Maybe it will inspire me to finish mine somday.

I have finished my IT-28. No pics yet, but I hope to get around to it soon. The problem is - like you Peter I've lost the enthusiasm to build, in fact - I have lost enthusiasm to do anything... that's why I keep putting off showing my models on the forums. Perhaps it was caused by my frantic scramble to finish the IT for the AMPS and I just need a break?

I am now trying to finish a BA-20 and if I finish it soon and have enough time for Heavy Haulers - I will build the SA-2 tractor, but if I see that I won't be able to complete a whole new kit - I might have to drop out of HH and finish my AZM for this campaign.

Looking good Joe. You're almost there. Are you using indi tracks? Sabot traded me the indi ones for a set of rubber band tracks, I'm too old (and several other excuses) for indi tracks.

Thanks Chuck...no i'm using rubber tracks. I never used anything but rubber, but i'd like to try them some day. How are those indi links, assembly wise.

They are a pain in the %%%%. sometimes worth it, but often the rubber tracks are just fine when painted and glued. Personaly, I think Indy's are over rated.

Stand by by for the barrage... :-)

Yeah Henk I heard both good and bad. The only way to find out is to give them a try myself someday. Are there many other brands out there that are better then each other, or are they all about the same.

Well, the biggest difference is if they come with the kit, or if you buy them AM. Kit supplied ones are usually same plastic, same quality, with same problems. ( sink holes, flash, soft detail)
AM tracks tend to be better quality, crisper detail, but you have to buy them seperatly, often for as much as the kit cost itself... . sorry, I did that once, with my Leopard, and won't do it again. All the rubber band tracks need is painting... and a bit of super glue..

You pays your money, you makes your choice..
I did like the Ost ketten for my Pzr IV which I bought from Accurate Armour though..

Cheers

Joe, to answer your question more direct, yes there are quite a few manufactuers out there for Indy links. Fruil is one, Model Kasten is another as is Accurate Armour. They all arrive at the end via different means..
Fruil is THE metal track producer. Pro's ... natural sag.
Cons? heavy, expensive, a lot of work to add the wire pins..
Modelkasten.. THE plastic indy link producer? Many say so, I have not used them so can't comment..
Accurate Armour.. Soft Resin tracks.. I used them, and love them. Great detail, and as they come in lenghts, they don't need the amount of work that Indylinks need.

Cheers
Henk
