My humble submission of my as yet to be finished Panther II. Yes, its the inaccurate Trumpeter kit, no I havent gotten around to sealing, washing and weathering yet (ok maybe a little), but I think maybe a "before the dirt" picture is in order, if for no other reason than my own reference. Comments are always welcome...

I wanna tone down the vision ports, fill the bustle racks, add some cables for the cameras and a few other small things. Mayb I can finish this weekend with a little luck.

Oh yeah, does anyone have a decent pic of the vision block plug thingy that the plow cable goes through??? My M1A1 TM doesnt have one

Looks like it is coming along well. Drip pan looks fine as well. The cable for the plow should go to the junction box to the left of the hatch. It doesn't go through the vision block on the Panther II since it is designed to have the plow and it is not an add-on. Track looks a little loose, I would take out a couple links and tighten it up. Vision blocks on driver's hatch look good, TC hatch ones should also be the same anti-laser coated red, light blue color looks all wrong. Check out how mine turned out in my Showcase I below.

Yeah, the track on the left side is slightly looser than the right side. I used the vinnyl tracks, so taking out a link isnt an option. I think the only way to do it is to reposition the left front suspension arm a little. No biggie I guess.

I agree about the cupola vision blocks, the blue is too bright.

Sure it is. I shorten vinyl track all the time. It is especially easy on a vehicle like the Abrams where the upper run of track is hidden. Simply cut the track and remove a link or two. Now reassemble the track by connecting the cut ends with either staples or sewing them back together with thread. Now rotate the track so you spliced piece is up under the skirts and can't be seen.

One question,

When "normal" M1 carries the Mine plow sytem, they are very overloaded in the front of vehicle.
Does the Panther2 have the similar trouble ?
TIA
