Hi Guyz,

Here's my Sherman M4A3 105mm Howie. I tried for the first time a winterwash.

Let me know what you think,

Cheers, John.

Dang bro,
Your weathering is awesome, along with the whitewash. This will be a nice addition to TAO. Great work bro.

I like the well worn finish, quite appropriate as most 'winter' schemes were water soluble paint. Great additions and effects - overall a nice job John.

John, she came out excellent as i knew she would. Great work my friend I also ask the same question as Hilbert. And I feel the Sherman is aching for a good home on a dio base Cheers Kevin

Very nice. How did you do the whitewash? It's superb.

Just a little thing you might want to do. Try to paint the string/rope that holds the stowage together....maybe a wash of buff or khaki that the string/rope can soak.

Beautiful!

Hi John, nice Sherman, but, I feel that the effect is not quite there yet..
you are trying to depict a worn winter camouflage. But your paint effect has very sharp edges. It doesn't look worn and dirty enough to me....yet.
Drybrush the edges of the white with white to make them realy blend and fade out.. And It looks like you (dry)brushed over the white, rather than use a wash.. if you use multiple washes, it gives that deeeep, dirty look of several weeks in the field. Remember, layers are the secret..
You did a good job with the periscope guards, are they scratched?

groeten
Henk
