I'm counting the days (4) and six hours before I climb on to that jet airplane to hop the pond to England, but before I go I wanted to share some furniture that I have recently made for my Carentan Dio. Along with some from a good friend, Minuteman...

The first photo is Minuteman's contribution Tables and Chairs, Buffet, and the infamous Piano. Minutman's work really inspired me. So I am greatful to him for his work.

The rest of the furniture was created by my own hand. I am particularly proud of these... I would not have been able to do it without Minuteman's encouragement. He is a Great guy! Thanks Jay!
This is my Apothocary Cabinet, Secretary/writing desk, and Grandfather Clock

Secretary, (note the curved Drawers) and GF clock.

Mixed furniture.

My Grandfather Clock

Comments always welcome, the Grandfather clock is unfinnished I still have to create the to frames for the glass doors.and add the knobs.

Very nice pieces indeed. I would like to see your plans. And a question; how do you make these knobs, they look very good.

The knobs are made from stick pins, very small nails or brads.

Very nice. The knobs look a smidge large.
One trick you can use for the frame of the clock is to do a google search for picture frames, find a nice one and print them off in color, cut them out and glue them on. It adds easy nice detail.

Paul,

Thank you for the kind words, I have enjoyed our collaboration. You have created some excellent pieces. Although I cannot believe you beat me to the clock. You have done an extremely nice job my friend and I cannot wait to see the progress on the dio.

Carentan would place this near Normandy. I don't know what you are going to do in your dio but what a shame of the possibility of blowing up some of this stuff if you do a wrecked house.

I think this would be very worthy of an article.

Paul and Jay:
What you made make speechless... all I can say is that I find that furniture awesome... a real marvel... The pieces look like- sorry but I must say it- coming out of a Liliput dream! Congratulations to you both!
Cheers and happy modeling!
Prato

Could you send me the plans for the furniture too? If so, I thank you a lot! If not, sorry but I had to ask!

Paul and Jay

These are some really great looking pieces. If this is an example of the detail in the up coming dio, then I for one can't wait to see it. Oh and if you are going to give out the plans PLEASE can I get on that list. Better yet, why not just write a "how to " article.

Great job
