Hi!
I really got a difficult problem:
I'm about to build Revell's Panzer IV H (1/72nd) with a lot of additional parts from Extratech (Driver's compartment, Engine compartment, Tracks, Sideskirts, and some hull parts).
Since this will (hopefully) become a very special modell, I want to put it in a great diorama.
My question is:
Would you people like to see the Panzer IV in a french village (around 1944) with a church and 1 or 2 houses.
or
a 1945 Panzer IV somewhere in western Germany with a big Factory building?
(I plan to equip all the buildings with a copmlete interior)
I personally like both ideas so it's up to you to decide!
Thanks a lot and best wishes,
ekke

Go big factory with interior. Everyone's seen and done a house, a factory would be cool and give you a lot of freedom into what to include as far as details go.

What can I say... I love stained glass... There are stained glass windows on the church aren't there?

Concidering that you are building it, why don't you put it where YOU want it and not worry about what other people like?
I'm not trying to be harsh, I just believe that people should build for themself, not the approval of others.
I think the idea is that he fancies building both, and can't make up his mind. The amount of times I have the same dillema.... . I have a stack of half finished (started?) dio bases where I went of with an idea, only to change my mind half way through..
I agree with the factory diorama, something different with lots of possibilities.
Cheers

This is a pic I came across somewhere on the net. I think with a setting similar to this you can show off the interior and everything. Good luck.

Yeah I also thought about that, but unfortunately the turret is the only part of the model that won't get any further detailing.
The fact that most people like the factory Idea and some great fotos of old factories on a German foto-website
( http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/cat/2307 and
http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/cat/976 mostly artistic stuff on these pages, but it's really impressive) convinced me to build the factory scene
I finished the first plan already, hope you'll understand it
("Fenster" means "Window", "Büro" means "Office", "E" stands for Ground floor and the numbers for the other floors)
