Airbrushing is really my downfall. I don't have a place to spray inside, and I risked my own life the last one time I tried, I never knew my wife could yell that loud. We remodeled the garage into living area, so much for doing it out there anymore. I finally made a shed in the back yard, but the weather has been too cooperative lately. So finally the weather is decent and I got a chance to do some spraying. After two colors everything was going fine until I decided to wash the cap off only to drop the little tube thingy down the drain. Even after taking off the trap I couldn't find it, I guess it was lite enough to wash away.

I went to the local Hobby Town and Hobby Lobby and they had the whole cap and bottle, which I got a couple spares on, but no tubes. The tube looks like some kind of straw would replace it, but has anybody ever tried this? It's a Aztec brush, but the bottles I think are pretty standard. Anybody ever try to replace just the tube on something like this and what did you use?

Hi there Rodger...

I have also face the same situation twice and worst of all, the needle also went down the sink.....

ok here's what I did..since my aztek set comes with 2 bottles so I just share the tube thing when one is lost.. However, after sometimes my stupidity and clumsiness came back and I lost another tube down the drain,,,, so I just replace it with straw.. try to get some sturdy straw not the ordinary one... I got mine from some fancy drink that my wife bought for my daughter..

it works like usual...in some case they may not fit well so try to seal it properly using vinyl tape..

hope this help

I have used the ink tube from a cheap Biro pen. Simply cut to length and wash. (use one that is almost empty). If the tube is a little small then heating with a hair drier will soften it enough to go on the recepticle. The airbrush in question was a Badger 200.

Rodger - Looking forward, if you need a ready supply of replacement tubing, try the Pet Shop in Aquarium supplies (replacement air hoses), think you'll find the right size and material grade of tubing there, I have in the past.
