Hi guys. As the title suggests, Im looking for colours of strappings and ties for stowage for US stowage in Vietnam. In WW2 they were mostly brown leathers, but I suspect they were more green canvass(?) type by this stage. Any tips on colours, etc would be apprecited. Also a few images would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance and cheers!

You are correct. Having entered the service in 1982, we got a lot of Vietnam era green canvas equipment. I even had my parent's neighbor give me some of the old gear his son had when he was in he Army in the 70s.
I still have an old butt pack and spaghetti straps for my tanker's roll. The rest of my stuff is the newer nylon webbing.
It faded quickly though.

Most of the web gear we wore was forest green, but I saw it from that to olive drab and every shade in between. Coloring depended on who made it and when it was made. Canteens and ammo covers were mostlly forest green.

Ditto on this. Most tie downs were canvas Od or dark green webbing.

Another thing to add is that all the snaps, buckles and strap ends where painted black. All the hardwere where made of brass. The brass would show from the paint being scratched off. You really did see more brass though.
Here's a link of the equipment used w/ some nice pics.
