Finally started working on a couple of group build kits.
I'm building the Mac 1/72 scale Horch 180 Type 1a for Miniature Magic. Neat little staff car with options for either DAK or Gross Deutchland vehicles. It gives the option for top up or down and includes a small photo etched fret that has engine louvers, rear view mirrors and a couple of other small bits. The instructions are rather vague, but nothing that can't be handled.
The other kit is for the scout car group build. For that I'm building the old Esci M3 White scout car. Very old, out-of-production kit that isn't that difficult to find. I don't think it's been reissued in quite some time, at least since the early 80s.
The detail on the White scout car is great. Better than the recent Italeri DUKW or M8 scout car.
Still cooking on the back burner is the KrAZ-255L Soviet fueler for Heavy Haulers. Now this kit is a major PITA.

The mirrors must be miniscule in 1/72! The Soviet fueler sounds like a pretty eccentric subject. Who makes that kit?
