Having found Tamiya's now deleted Jap type97 Chi Ha tank, the "Khaki" base colour is posing me a problem. After various shades were mixed my final, tho not totally perfect, was 50% Tamiya XF-49 Khaki, 40% XF-51Khaki Drab & a splash of XF-58 Olive Green. My primary source of info is Tank battles of the pacific by Steven Zaloga (Concord), and two Polish publications about Armour used in the Pacific by the Japanese. I have a feeling the base colour may need a little yellow to give a lighter shade, this will be covered in a tight cloud patterns using red-brown and olive green. This will be finished off with the 4 yellow lines, which were painted to break up the direction in which the tank was travelling, these were painted down each side of the tank from the top down.
