I am curious how folks give thier models (when appropriate) the appearance that portions are cast. I am working on Dragon's Loki and want to give the gun housing a cast appearance as it was.
Thanks.

Welcome aboard, Seanuke. Displaced Husker fan here.
There are a lot of different methods people use to simulate a rough cast texture. I chusk up a small burr in the dremel tool and "bounce" it lightly off the surface. Then I brush on a coat of Tetsors liquid cement (the one with the brush in the lid) to even things out.
I am sure you will get other good methods here as well.
Again,
Welcome.
