Hi all,
this an old one on which I recently tried chipping paint after reading lots about it here at Big A. So any comments welcome.
The accessories come from Tamiya, Pro Art and Plus Models. The kit plastic mesh as been replaced by metallic one.
And yes, I know I missed (messed ) the wrong front armor package at the time I built it. Maybe I'll have to do some surgery to correct this once.

That's a sweet Warrior you've got there!

I take it that this is the Academy 1/35 kit? How was it to build? I saw one today and was thinking about getting it to complement my Tamiya Chally 2.

How'd you get the chipped paint effect? Was it done with the "base coat of green, brillo-pad applied Maskol, overcoat of yellow, remove maskol" technique? I'd be interested to hear how you did it, since I've got to paint my chally soon and i'd like to get a similar effect as yours.

Cheers

Hi beepboop,
the kit builds well. The only part quite tricky is the turret basket.
I don't know how is the new Academy kit (Op Telic one). I guess they have corrected the front armor package but you could check that in the review section here.

The chipping is done just by tapping a bit of scouring sponge wet with green paint on the AFV surface. Much quicker to do than the Maskol method.

Hi Olivier,

Your model is realy great! I like the Warrior family and I built, about an year ago, an Op Telic one, based on this exactly kit.

Congratulations for the effects and great looking model!

Bye,

Marcelo

Hi Bison126
I got the Iraq 03 version recently, its the old kit with a new sprue K. This has reconfigured front armor, spare wheel, turret side stowage boxes, ID panels, ammo boxes (though not Rarden boxes), hull stowage bins, fire extingushers, two folding chairs, two SA-80s wire cutters, and drivers inclement weather windshield.
