Well I started the darn thing in February and between working 50-55 hours a week and having to baby sit I'm done!! Tamiya Stug III G, Friul tracks and Eduard barrel, Used CMK smoke dischargers. Painted in Tamiya acrylics and weathered with Model Master Acrylic burnt umber wash and Mig powder. I know I know I'm not a very good painter yet but this is my first build in 20 years. Oh, and I used an Archer Transfer for a 2nd SS version from Kursk.
Let me have it guys!!

Hi Andrew, thats a nice introduction back to the hobby. I like the look of your Stug, the paint scheme turned out good. 2 outstanding points for me are the gloss look of the paint,(not sure if this is just the picture or not) it could be toned down with some artist's pastels, which would also give some "life" to your beast. Also the side decal looks like it may be "screwed up" a little, you could make this look like its worn off, then add little more pastel dust on it to make it look realistic.

Slug covered the decal part for me, and I do also think that the paint job came out great, again, some pastels could make this thing come even more to life! Is this going into a diorama of Kursk?

Hey Andrew,
First one in 20 years? Looks pretty good to me.
The most notable thing to me is the rear deck. At the very edge it looks somewhat rough. Not sure if it's the paint or something under the paint.
Also agree with Bruce, could use some patels or other form of weathering.
Overall a nice job. You seem to have the basics well under control so I think it's just a matter of a few tweaks. Things that I'm sure will improve rapidly in your next couple of builds.

I sprayed the whole thing with a rattle can of clear Flat Laquer and it came out shinier than I expected.

Andy:
Super job my friend. Hit it once again with the dullcoat if you pastel it, wait til after you do that, if not then lightly spray it a couple of more times with the dullcoat. Your tracks are exquisite. Bring it to the Arlington show !!
