I never thought I'd say this, but there are so many new releases of German armour at the moment, that I'm getting left behind! With the battle between AFV Club & Dragon hotting up, I'm struggling to cope! I want to build all the new stuff, but my build rate is so low, models are starting to back up on me, currently I have the Dragon Flamethrower Sdkfz251 & the AFV Club half track with Pak40, & these are going to take me months to do. This WILL increase when the 3-in-1 Ausf D engineer becomes available! I'm still putting the finishing touches to an AFV Club D & the 251/6 from dragon. The problem is that I never know how long these kits will be around, so I have to snap them up when I can, many dealers only seem to stock the latest stuff, & I don't buy on the net - but they aren't getting built, & I can't afford a stash, either space or SWMBO!
So please guys make some Allied vehicles (US halftracks, British softskins, yeah right!) for a bit & let me catch up!

The advantage of not buying these new kits when they are first released is that you can avoid any fit issues or mistakes in the instructions by reading online reviews.......if i had known about the less than steller fit of the upper hull of AFV's 251/9 then i would not have bought that when it first came out.....same for the 251/c by Dragon....same problem which is supposed to have been corrected in the later versions.......so there is one benefit from being poor

Steve, I tend to agree with you - i'm around 50% finished building the Tiger 1, recently bought were the 251/7 (Ausf.D) the 251/9 (Ausf C) and the 251/22. Could do with a couple of months of NO-RELEASES just to catch up... I'm also thinking of BOTH 88s.....Aaarrrgggh, Jim

I'm waiting for Dragons Panther G/ M10 Ersatz. Still don't know when that is coming out though.
Does that count as Allied or German armour :-) :-)

My LHS had a "buy 2 get one model free" sale today. I went in for one bottle of paint and came out with 3 more Sd.Kfz 251 kits. /22 , /16 , /7 3 in 1 . Just what I needed. Ain't it a great time to be a dedicated replicator in miniature?

I say keep them coming. Some more allied stuff would be cool. I would love to see an m31or32 recovery vehicle.I'am not complaining though. I think all the kits they have done lately are excelent.Tamiya has to play catch up now. This could turn out to be a turff war with all of us benefitng. lol

I agree.........I'm really behind with all the new stuff coming out and there's MORE on the horizon. For sure Dragon will do another Tiger (an Early production, but I cant recall the DML desination off the top of my head) and they are going to do more with Allied armor too, but like how they did the 251s or pretty much any other tank they produce, they're going to make a TON of shermans for varying areas of operations. They're also supposed to do a German 253 Ammo half-track carrier deal....TOO MUCH!!! oh, my aching wallet....not to mention those new Pz IVs that I will so end up getting all 4 (DML and Tristar) and the Flak 88s that I want real bad too (at least one will go great with my little Kirin HG Division Flak dudies)
At least we live in what appears to be the Renassiance of model building....
