I can't see the figure well enough to comment, but one thing you should consier id the presentation of the ground work. Consider making it an uneven pattern to complement the shape of the figure as seen from above or bring it out to the edge of the base where the base hase been cut back. The square clashes visually with the circle. You also have some base material that apppears to be unpainted beyond the edge of the square.

A lot better than my first figure, only one thing I could see from the picture, his red cap looks too shiny and may need dulling down although it may just be the picture.

Hey Danial,
Nice first attempt, a few recomendations :
1) Get yourself a rattle can of Testors Dullcote. A final coat or two of this (thin coats) will remove that shine that seems to haunt us all :-)
2) Groundwork ,as already pointed out, the square on the circle base does look a little strange - continue this out to the edges. Also perhaps include a bush and or a log etc to add some intrest and cover for the SAS trooper.
3) Composition - a lone figure is always a hard one to pull off - spice it up a little with perhaps a map spread out next to him and a radio set - he looks like he could be acting as a FOO (arty spotter) and it would certainly spice up the vig.
Looking forward to seeing your progress with this,
Regards,
Andy.

Howdy neighbour. Welcome to the campaign. Interesting vignette. As most of the guys said, posing a single figure is always tough to do as all attention tends to be directed at the figure.
Nice first attempt though and a bit of ground debris (small trees, bushes, grass, rubble, etc.) would definitely enhance the figure. SInce he has binoculars all you need is to place a short bush in front of him to give the impression he's doing a recce of the area.
