Finally finished this thing today at the urging of my wife to clean off the damned table! Powder pastels and a final dull coat. I took some pics out on the balcony and figured I'd share to see what you gents think of it.
Here is a a "before" shot:
Here are some "after dirt" shots:
My photography skills suck, and I think it looks a bit better than it does in the pics.
I did try to fix the track tension on the left side, and did the best I could, I guess it just didnt want to play nice.
On to the next months long project....after summer vacation of course!

Resistor, as far as your photography skills go, try a black background with overhead lighting from both left and right sides. I did this and my pics started looking a lot better. The blue reflects a good amount of the light. Good job on completing something. Looks good from what I can see of it. "Q" Hope this helps.

I thought the Panther used a mine roller, not a plow. Am I mistaken?

resistor,
Don't know about the lighting or plow versus roller, but do know what I like.
Youv'e done a great job on the build. I like seeing something M-1 related in something other than NATO colors or desert camouflage.

M1 Panther II can use either the roller or the plow. I saw one in the flesh (metal?) in Iraq, north of Karbala during the invasion and it had the plow on it. That is the vehicle that I modelded mine after. I believe it was the same one that the Trumpeter decals depict.

I always get messed up when people refer to the modern Panther. I always expect to see the German Mark V Panther.
