Are there any French WWII tanks in 1/72 other than the Heller Somua? I saw a resin Hotchkiss from Ostmodels but that looks to be OOP. My internet searching hasn't turned up anything else.

TIA . . . Kevin

I'm afraid you (and I and everyone else into Fr armor) are out of luck as to plastic 1/72nd Fr armor.
Matchbox used to make the Char B and FT17 combo kit in 1/76th - very nice too BTW, but that is it.

So, your'e stuck like us looking for resin.

Sad too, as the Fr had some very interesting armor.

RPM makes an entire series of Panhard 178 armored cars from WW2 (French and captured German). Not tanks, but they are French WW2 armor. They also do a full line of FT-17 Renault tanks, again not quite what you're looking for but it is French armor.

The french company Al.By has released several resin kits that may interest you. Their list includes a Hotchkiss H39 tank and a corrected Somua S35, along with several half-tracks and artillery tractors...

It seems strange that with so many esoteric subjects in 1/72 that we're missing an entire country's tank force! I imagine they would sell pretty well especially since it's an open area in the market. But hey, what do I know . . . I'm no business mogul.

Howdy MAC. I am willing to part with my NIB Matchbox 1/76 Char B.1 bis with Renault FT.17. The chances of me ever building them are slim at best. The combo kit comes with a couple of French infantry and a section of road next to a damaged building. PM me if you are interested. Out here.
