I need help guys, Im building a M10 I wanted it for the winter of 44-45 My problem is Im building the academy version and it supplies two types of drive sprocket one is quite plain the other more fancy and bolted, now Im using the mid production wheels and what I need to know is which sprocket should accompany those wheels, Ive checked my reference books but none cover this area Ive also checked galleries on other sites but all seem to have different combinations (have I just answered my own question ) thanks for any advice

just checked my reference books and they show photos of M10's around the period of 1944 - 45 that have both types of drive sprokets.. the 'lace' and the 'cast' versions some of the photos were from the winter period.. so I think either or would work.. I myself am doing one of these at the moment..

it is my understanding that the 'Lace' version was the early one and the 'cast' came later...

drive sprokets were replaced out of available supplies as they wore out or were damaged which is why you find a mix of both types throughout the war.

My M10 is placed late in the war so just for kicks I have one of each sprocket. Remember that repair depots will use anything that fits to make it run so there will be mismatches

also on spruce H there are two late version road wheels that I think will look good mounted on the hull for spares but would also work on the model to break up the sameness of the roadwheels maybe.......
