I posted this originally under Shows yesterday but I don't think many people check there. Modern armor modelers attending the Nats in Atlanta might be interested to know that my co-author, SGT Olson, will be giving a speech about his OIF1 experiences. IPMS' website has not announced it yet since the details have not been worked out, but it appears the speech will be on Sat. If interested, check out my post of yesterday under the Shows section.

Good for him. I'm sure it will be very informative and a great show. I won't be able to make it though. Gotta train the soldiers. We will have 4ID here training during that timeframe.

Hi Jeff:
No word on the book yet. I suppose it could be some time. I plan on meeting the editor in Atlanta, so if I do not hear anything by then (late July) I will be grilling him.
Mike: Does that mean you are going to try and get to Atlanta? I know you mentioned that you plan on getting to KC next year. I hope to be there next year too, since my company's HO is there, and I should be able to plan a meeting for that week. But, I tell you, it is a real pain to try and plan stuff for plane rides when you build mostly dioramas and vignettes.

Howdy Robert. I am attempting to get the right stars to come into alignment in order to get to Atlanta. There is still a possibility, however slim of being able to attend. I must also travel back to 29 Palms the same month to attend a good friends retirement from the Gun Club. I am still on for KC next year. I am impressed with people who fly commercial with their models for a contest. I bet even figures are a hasssle. I have three piceces ready for the contest arena so far. I will test drive them in Colorado at the Region X in October. Out here.
