Hello All,
My contribution to DDD campaign is complete, just in time. This is HMS/M Thrasher in 1943 on Mediterranean patrol. Kit is from Tom's Modelworks, 1:700 though no longer available.

I added the 4" gun as there was none with the kit, otherwise everything else is pretty much out of the box. Most of the work came in correcting the shape of the rear facing torpedo tubes and trying to show the drainage holes in the hull.

This was, for me, a quick build and I am grateful to the campaign for giving me an incentive to complete a model which would otherwise still be sitting on the shelf.

Hope you like it!
Mike

Nice work on both the sub and base!!!
The ship actually has a lot of detail for only a 1/700 scale.
She looks a bit futuristic for a WW2 sub. To bad this model isn't in production anymore...

The touches of green and the transparency of the water look very convincing..
How did you make the water? plaster with a lot of varnish i'm guessing?

I'm glad you made it in time before the deadline.

Taking the liberty to make this "hot."

Looks very good to me. At first glance I'd be tempted to those were photos of the real thing.
